LAURA JOHNS

Laura Johns serves as Fuse.Cloud’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and has been with the company since 2014.  Johns has nearly a decade of experience in the study and practice of integrated marketing. She has nine years of expertise driving marketing efforts for the utility and telecommunications industries, and extensive background in marketing strategy and implementation for technical products.  As CSO, her responsibilities include marketing, human resources, customer success and corporate culture.  She oversees the execution of all relationship-affecting strategies within the company to ensure success in reinforcing relationships as one of the company’s core values.

Prior to joining Fuse.Cloud, Johns drove marketing efforts for the electricity business line at Itron, a global utility technology provider based in Liberty Lake, Washington. Johns also served as the advertising manager for the Unversity of Alabama campus newspaper, The Crimson White.

She was honored as one of Mississippi Business Journal’s “Top 50 under 40” in 2015 and was selected as one of MBJ’s “Top 50 Leading Women in Business” in 2016. She once served as executive director of TeamJXN, a grassroots effort to drive positive momentum in Jackson, Miss. She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson (LGJ), a program of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership.  Johns proudly served on the LGJ board of directors as the marketing chairperson for three years. She also served on the board of directors for the Young Professionals Alliance (YPA) of Jackson for five years. 

Johns graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies (emphasis in public relations) from Mississippi College, where she currently serves on the Alumni Board of Directors. She earned a Master of Arts degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Alabama. Johns attends The Way Church in Flowood, Mississippi, where her husband, Jay, serves as worship pastor. They live in Flowood, Mississippi, with their two sons, Levi and Wyatt.
